Partner FAQ
What kind of content do you license?
Feature films, series, documentaries, and special-interest programming from studios, distributors, and library owners. We program 14 apps and 20+ FAST channels across every major genre, so full catalogs and multi-title packages are the best fit. Individual titles are considered case by case.
Is there any cost to partner with OTT Studio?
No. There are no submission, encoding, or distribution fees. Content partnerships are revenue share: you earn from the advertising your titles generate across our apps and channels.
How do I earn revenue?
You receive a share of the net advertising revenue your content generates. The more your titles are watched, the more you earn. Terms are set out in a content distribution agreement before anything goes live.
Do I keep the rights to my content?
Yes. You retain full ownership. You grant OTT Studio a non-exclusive license to distribute the titles on our apps and channels for the term of the agreement.
Is the partnership exclusive?
No. Content partnerships are non-exclusive unless we agree otherwise for a specific title or package.
Where will my content appear?
Across OTT Studio's owned and operated apps (Free Movies Plus, Christmas Plus, Free Live Sports and our genre networks) and our FAST channels, distributed on Roku, Fire TV, Samsung, LG, Vizio, Apple TV, Android TV, mobile and web, plus Plex, Sling Freestream, Local Now, HPTV+, Tablo and more.
How does reporting and payment work?
You receive quarterly statements covering your titles' performance and revenue, with payment following each statement. Transparent, title-level reporting is standard.
How long does it take to go live?
Once terms are signed and your files and metadata meet delivery standards, titles typically launch within a few weeks, and are scheduled into the right channels as programming cycles allow.
What deliverables do you need?
Industry-standard HD video files, key art (poster and landscape), a trailer where available, and title metadata. Detailed specifications are shared during onboarding.
Do you accept international content?
Yes. We license content from rights holders worldwide. English subtitles are required for non-English titles for our US audience.
How long is a typical agreement?
Most content agreements run on a twelve-month term that renews annually, with notice-based exit provisions set out in the agreement.
Can I remove my content later?
Yes, subject to the notice period in your agreement. Titles are removed from all apps and channels once the notice period ends.
What if I want my own FAST channel rather than licensing into yours?
That's our channel partnership track. OTT Studio launches, programs, distributes, and monetizes FAST channels for brands and libraries as an outsourced operator. Tell us about your catalog and we'll scope it.
